Cole Schneider and Maggie Doherty had a grand vision; to renovate the old Hendricksen Motors building on Main Street and create Kalispell’s first independent craft brewery. They needed a distinct logo that would be the foundation for their brand. We created a hand drawn script and executed it in a vintage style, inspired from an old mural that was being preserved in their historic building. We kept it simple and bold, just like their beer.
The brewery interior was to be industrial and casual with lots of exposed brick. It would also feature a rooftop patio overlooking Main Street, with views of the Swan Mountain range. The owners had a great love of the Montana outdoors so it only made sense to have their brand reflect that in some way.
The logo colors (maroon and gold) represented brick and beer and were carried throughout the rest of the brand. Their website and advertising featured photos of Glacier National Park along with lifestyle imagery. The nostalgic beer can labels were designed to highlight specific areas in our valley, each one telling its own unique story.
Kalispell Brewing has quickly become a favorite among locals with award winning beer.
It’s Montana Made… and definitely Montana Loved.
